You may be preparing to re-open your doors for business again – or perhaps you already have – even though the world continues to fight against COVID-19.

For many of you, perhaps you haven’t been to your facility since the stay-at-home orders were put in place. Upon arrival that first time, you may notice some problems outside your facility that need to be addressed before employees, customers, or guests come back.

It’s Important to Remember This Factor, Too

If you have visited your facility while it’s been temporarily closed, yet it’s the first time you’re noticing an issue outside, you must give yourself some grace. There has been a lot to deal with since the pandemic began. It’s fair to say your attention has primarily been focused on the inside of your facility – such as what cleaning and disinfecting services need to happen and be maintained even after re-opening.

There’s obviously going to be a hesitation for many of you about welcoming any new guest on your property since the pandemic is far from over. But the good news is, if you have something that needs servicing on the outside of your facility,  the risk of exposure lowers, according to a doctor who answered the most common questions on CBS News. In other words, it’s safer for a guest to be outside rather than inside your facility.

“U.V. sunlight does degrade the virus,” said Dr. David Agus. However, he does advise maintaining the social distancing rule even outside.

How Will You Know Who Can Help You?

To limit the time you might spend on Google trying to guess who can help you with something outside of your facility, we want to share a list with you of some common problems outside of facilities that a handyman can help you fix:

  1. Exterior painting
  2. Door installation
  3. Gutter cleaning or repair
  4. Light fixtures in a parking lot
  5. Fence repairs
  6. Garage doors
  7. Stone installation
  8. Roofing

If you want to take that extra step of precaution and make sure a handyman is following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations on personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand hygiene, City Wide can help you schedule the best professional.
